Abilene is close to Junction City where New Horizons RV is located, so we ventured over to the town primarily to see the Eisenhower Presidential library, museum and boyhood home. The Eisenhower Presidential Library is one of the
13 Presidential Libraries administered by the National Archives and Records Administration. They preserve the documents and artifacts of our Presidents, providing insight into the times in which these Presidents lived and served the nation through archives, museums, and special programs.
We spent two days here. It was the first time Carol or I had ever been to a presidential museum and it was very interesting, and enjoyed it thoroughly. We’ll be visiting some of the other presidential libraries in our travels.
