Full-time Rvers' traveling, eating and blogging across North America!
Our RV is a 2015 New Horizons fifth wheel. New Horizons RVs are custom built and known for their extremely strong frames and wall structures plus true four-season comfort that can handle temperatures ranging from below zero to one-hundred degrees and above. They’re built to withstand the rigors of full-time living for decades. In fact, they’ve earned the only FIVE STAR RATING for full-time towable RVs that the RV Consumer Group (rv.org) has awarded for over a decade.
We tow our fifth wheel with a Freightliner M2 Sportchassis medium duty truck. Pulling any sort of large trailer, horse, RV, cargo, or boat can be challenging. Lots of truck builders talk about how their truck can pull your trailer down the road. Our concern was safety and he ability of the truck to quickly stop the rig! For us it came down to mass, if what you’re pulling is a lot heavier than what you’re pulling it with, then you have a potential problem. Can the truck stop the rig? Yep!
